Scrapbooking A Great Way To Store Lasting Memories by Chad Wiley
Scrapbooking can be so much fun to create your own pages. You will be forever saving your memories down on paper for years to come. Your scrapbooks will become one of the most prized possessions your children and grandchildren will want to receive. Your scrapbooks will be passed down from generation to generation for years to come.
For starters you will need a scrapbook. Choose a solid color book or one with a theme of the book you will be making.
Example of a theme: If you are making a baby scrapbook you can buy pages to use in the background to match a baby theme. A lot of pink pages if you have a little girl; or a lot of baby blue pages if you have a little boy. Perhaps you have twins and can use twin pages such as two peas in a pod. Or you may even buy a scrapbook kit that contains all of the items you need to create your masterpiece.
You can purchase stickers to go into your scrapbook to go with your theme. Also, ribbons and buttons to help design your page. Save babies first hair, any ticket stubs or anything that has to do with your baby.
Choose your photographs and lay them out on the page you will be creating first. You want to lay everything out on your page before you start gluing to make sure you like it when it is finished. You may want to cut your photos down. Use a fancy scalloped edged scissors. You can buy different edged scissors for different effects. Cut a lot of your photos to crop them up such as peoples faces. Also, you may want to cut off some of the background if it is boring so it will focus on the main subject.
Once you are happy with the page you have created, take your glue stick and glue to the page. Decorate it as you wish. Let your creativity take over and be your guide.
Add a few lines or a small paragraph about each page. This will keep the memories and stories much more vivid. Also, it makes it more interesting for others to look at your scrapbook.
Scrapbooking is a wonderful way to make save your families most treasured memories, and the other great thing about scapbooking is that you get the chance to personalize the way you want to layout your pages so that it best reflects you thoughts of the memory you are trying to create in your scrapbook.
