There Are Registry Cleaners, and Then There Are Registry Cleaners?
by Phil Dwyer
Registry Cleaners are all over the internet but some just look good whilst others do the job correctly, the trick is trying to find out which one is good. The sad thing is that if we want to have our computers to continue running at peak performance we unfortunately can not do without this software.
There are many topics everywhere on the internet about Registry Boosters, Registry Cleaners, Registry Errors etc, etc and I would hazard a guess there are many people who are now thinking this is just another article about registry cleaners, but what do they do, and why should we buy one. But before I give an explanation I would like to firstly say this.
There are many elderly people who in their retirement have bought computers for the first time and have ventured onto the internet for the first time.
I am impressed that elderly people are attempting to understand what so many young people today take for granted and have never experienced a world without computer technology or even colour TV.
We can liken this scenario to the youngsters of today learning math without a calculator, or telling the time with a dial clock not digital, or even worse, catching a bus or walking to where they want to go.
The point I am making is, that with this kind of technology many people do not realize the need to carry out regular maintenance such as disc clean up or defragmenting let alone cleaning & defragmenting the registry.
I have one major criticism with the majority of computer stores who sell computers and give customer no tuition or advice about maintaining their purchase. Most of the time customers are not even instructed on how to turn the computer on and set it up, they usually have to wade through the technical clap trap of a user manual written by geeks who live on another planet using terminology only they can understand.
Considering most households in the developed world have at least one computer, why is it with such a huge market customers are treated as if they are all geeks and already know what they are doing when WE DON"T. The elderly community is left to blunder along on their own so here is a little free information, which may be very basic for some, but is quite challenging for others.
There are several tools already installed on our computer (under applications - system tools) which will help keep our computer operating at peak performance. These tools are called 'disc defragmenting' and 'disk clean up,' both of which keep things tidy and save space on your hard drive.
However, we should also have a rel=nofollow [http://www.wotevaonline.net/computer-mainten Cleaner installed on our computers to improve performance by correcting any errors that can develop.
Errors in your registry occur every time you load/unload software or just delete files and the more this is done over time, the more errors in the registry occur resulting in your computer running slow and being unreliable.
The good news is that even the real novice can easily rectify these issues by using Registry Cleaners, especially if you purchase one of good quality.
